What is the Lumigan UK and Benefit? 

Lumigan UK is the brand name for an eye drop that contains 0.03% bimatoprost, which is a prostaglandin equivalent. This medicine, made by Allergan, was used as an eye drop to treat glaucoma. 

But Bimatoprost acts like a naturally occurring chemical that controls how fast your hair grows. People with glaucoma who took Lumigan noticed that their eyelashes got longer, thicker, and darker than normal. 

Since the Bimatoprost was placed close to the eye, it soaked into the hair follicles there and put the hairs into their anagen phase, which is the growth phase. Over time, each hair got thicker and longer than usual, and because they were bigger, they looked darker. 

Lumigan was soon accepted as a way to help eyelashes grow. The FDA has approved it, and studies done by the FDA showed that after regular use is shown below 

• 106% more eyelash thickness 
• 25 percent longer eyebrows 
• 18% thicker eyelashes 

Like the popular US product Latisse, this prescription-strength eyelash cream works by strengthening eyelashes.

The best results don’t show up for 16 weeks, but most people see results in 4 weeks. Why is this? Because the growth phase for all of your eyelashes lasts for sixteen weeks on average. 

If you’re in the UK, Lumigan is sold under the brand name Latisse UK. Both products have the original 0.03% bimatoprost solution and have been shown to be safe and successful in clinical tests.

Like Careprost, It is not FDA-approved for eyelash growth, and it should not be used for that purpose without consulting with a healthcare professional, as it may lead to unwanted side effects.

Lumigan UK: How does it work?

Once you’ve used Lumigan UK eye drops for a few months, you should really start to see the difference. Even though no one knows for sure how Lumigan works, it is thought to have two different effects on the growth (anagen) part of the eyelash and brow hair cycle.

The first thing Lumigan does is make this phase longer. The second thing it does is make this phase have more hairs.

How long does Lumigan UK work?

It can take up to 16 weeks to see all of its effects. During the first 16 weeks of treatment, Lumigan is usually put on the base of the upper eyelids once a day. Please don’t put the medicine on the bottom of your eyebrows. Some people may only need to take Lumigan (Bimatoprost 0.03%) twice a week after the first 16 weeks, while others may need to take it three times a week to keep the effects going.

What adverse effects might Lumigan cause?
